America, Are we coming, or going?

In the United States f America, along with the rest of the world we are seeing some unprecedented times and events. The Progressive crowd is pushing for a form of Socialism, which is exactly how Adolf Hitler started out, and the Conservative base is bogged down in idealogy that just is not working anymore.

From an intellectual point of view and a simple comparative analysis of past performances and history of both points of view. The Progressive side started off well intentioned, but the problme was there was still personalities, egos and power grabs involved. While the founding group had visions of equality, fairness, everyone has a chance, those that followed, and those that rose to power became power drunk, proving the age old theorem that "absolute power corrupts". So we see this leaves an open door to cronyism, the few controlling it all, and the shifitng in of darker personalities as time goes on. This never turns out in a good end, it never has, a million times throughout history and governing, has this ever ended with good results.

Ultra Conservatism, has had many of the same results, refusing to adapt to ideas of change that is necessary in an ever changing and progressing world. It is simple, methodoly changes, industry changes, peoples needs and demands change. Where the ultra conservative miss the boat, is not exploring new ideas, actually looking for a better solution, and actually open to finding these solutions. Usually not in any one thing or policy, but thorough examination and weight of several, taking the best ofg many solutions, rejecting what does not work. Most of ou methods in place now work, we just have to evolve the practice and implementation with time.

This in no way means interpeting our constitutionl laws, bill of rights and other protective stop measures set in place by the founding fathers of this nation. These were set in place then, because our founding fathers recognized, if they were left to interpetation, or change as some political power saw fit, this would be the damnation of our nation, and we are seeing this today.

So the conservativbes score on that latter point, but seeking new ways, to improve the progressives score, but it has to be balanced with common sense and practicality. Which both are lacking in this ultra partisan world of Washington, DC.

There is only one way to get this country back on track, do what is bgest for the people and this nation, and that is to vote anyone and everyone out of office who has served over two terms inWashington. Being a Congress person, or Senator, was never meant for a career. It was to fairly elect persons who were in touch with the populace for the good of the poulace, and wise guidance for our government. Often, the correct decision is not always the popular decision (Abraham Lincoln - 1865) Ken Hatley June 21, 2009
